What stays on your device

Everything you create in the app is written to your device's private app storage and never leaves it:

• Your timers, their durations, names, and icons
• Saved timer sets and their cover photos
• App preferences, such as your chosen voice phrase

Uninstalling the app removes all of it. We have no copy.

Microphone

Tap Timer offers an optional hands-free start: you say a preset phrase and the next timer starts. This exists because the app is built for people wearing gloves or working with contaminated hands.

• Recognition runs entirely on your device, using a bundled offline keyword-spotting model. No speech is sent anywhere.
• Nothing is recorded. Audio is analysed in memory and discarded immediately. No audio file is ever written.
• The microphone opens only while you turn it on from the monitoring screen, and closes when you turn it off or leave that screen. There is no background listening and no foreground service.
• The feature is entirely optional. If you never enable it, the microphone is never opened, and Android will never ask you for the permission.

Photos

You may attach a cover photo to a timer set. The image you pick is copied into the app's private storage and is used only to show that set inside the app. It is never uploaded. The app does not browse or index your photo library.

Notifications and vibration

When a timer finishes, the app plays a sound, vibrates, and posts a local notification so you do not miss it if the screen is off. These are generated on your device. Nothing is sent to any notification server.

Sharing a timer set

You can share a timer set as a link. The set's contents — durations, names, and icons — are encoded directly into the link itself. There is no server and no upload: the link is the data.

Two things follow from that, and you should know both:

• The contents travel in the part of the address after #, which web browsers never send to the website. So opening the link does not reveal your set to us or to GitHub.
• Whoever receives the link can read the set. You choose who to send it to, through whichever messaging or email app you pick. Treat a set link the same way you would treat the timer names written inside it.

Children

Tap Timer is a laboratory tool and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever begins to handle data differently, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change.

기기 안에만 남는 것

앱에서 만든 것은 전부 기기의 앱 전용 저장 공간에 기록되며 그곳을 벗어나지 않습니다.

• 타이머와 그 시간·이름·아이콘
• 저장한 타이머 세트와 표지 사진
• 선택한 음성 문구 등 앱 설정

앱을 삭제하면 전부 함께 사라집니다. 저희에게는 사본이 없습니다.

마이크

Tap Timer에는 선택 기능으로 음성 시작이 있습니다. 미리 정한 문구를 말하면 다음 타이머가 시작됩니다. 장갑을 끼거나 손이 오염된 상태에서 쓰는 앱이라 존재하는 기능입니다.

• 인식은 전적으로 기기 안에서 이루어집니다. 앱에 내장된 오프라인 키워드 인식 모델을 쓰며, 음성이 외부로 나가지 않습니다.
• 녹음하지 않습니다. 소리는 메모리에서 판별 후 즉시 버려지며, 오디오 파일이 만들어지지 않습니다.
• 마이크는 감시 화면에서 사용자가 켠 동안에만 열리고, 끄거나 그 화면을 벗어나면 닫힙니다. 백그라운드 청취와 포그라운드 서비스가 없습니다.
• 완전히 선택 사항입니다. 켜지 않으면 마이크는 한 번도 열리지 않고, 안드로이드가 권한을 묻지도 않습니다.

사진

타이머 세트에 표지 사진을 붙일 수 있습니다. 고른 이미지는 앱 전용 저장 공간으로 복사되어 앱 안에서 그 세트를 표시하는 데만 쓰입니다. 업로드되지 않으며, 앱이 사진 보관함을 훑거나 목록화하지 않습니다.

알림과 진동

타이머가 끝나면 소리·진동과 함께 로컬 알림을 띄웁니다. 화면이 꺼져 있어도 놓치지 않기 위한 것으로, 전부 기기에서 만들어집니다. 알림 서버로 나가는 것이 없습니다.

세트를 링크로 공유할 때

타이머 세트를 링크로 보낼 수 있습니다. 세트의 내용(시간·이름·아이콘)이 링크 문자열 안에 그대로 담깁니다. 서버도 업로드도 없습니다 — 링크 자체가 데이터입니다.

여기서 두 가지가 따라오며, 둘 다 아셔야 합니다.

• 내용은 주소에서 # 뒤에 실리는데, 이 부분은 브라우저가 웹사이트로 전송하지 않습니다. 링크를 열어도 세트 내용이 저희나 GitHub에 남지 않습니다.
• 링크를 받은 사람은 세트를 볼 수 있습니다. 누구에게 보낼지는 사용자가 고른 메신저나 메일로 직접 결정합니다. 링크를 그 안에 적힌 타이머 이름과 같은 무게로 다뤄 주세요.

아동

Tap Timer는 실험실용 도구이며 아동을 대상으로 하지 않습니다.

방침 변경

앱이 데이터를 다루는 방식이 달라지면, 그 버전이 배포되기 전에 이 페이지를 먼저 고치고 상단 날짜를 바꿉니다.
